Chirstmas come early!

(Link)

Hello! It's been so long! It's such a surprise! I'm so excited to see everyone in their new iterations. It's kind of strange because after so long we know them so well but now they're here, again, younger and with a twists!

/flail/

I cannot wait to see more! I loved 'Burning on the Western Front'! And oh gosh, it'll be great to see Katsuko! And Ryouma! (Squee) and Genma and Raidou and Kakashi and --- HRNGHHH. I do really like the new backstories wherein the characters have families for a while longer than in FL! It's really interesting to see how they've turned out. And new characters! Oh, the joy.

I admit I haven't been keeping up to date with the Naruto world in general, but I had continued to read Fallen Leaves after I stopped reading the canon, and now it continues with Legacy. This guestbook message is less of a comment regarding the writing, but more of a general spazzing of excitement.

Thank you guys for taking the time out of your busy busy exciting lives to write this! :)

With love,
Leia (Or well, not sure if you'll remember, but Silvercaffiene, when I was on livejournal a couple years back!)

I'm so glad you've come over with us! It's really exciting to write new iterations of these well-loved characters and to play with new twists on theirs lives and their world. I'm glad you're enjoying it too!

And keeping up with Naruto canon is NOT a concern here. As you'll soon see, we're making substantial changes--this new story really got kick started with a couple of "what ifs" and then snowballed from there. Our general philosophy is to keep anything we like from canon and discard any craziness we don't. :)

We hope you continue to enjoy!

And Ryouma appreciates the squee. ;)

"HRNGHHH" is basically my favorite reaction ever. I'm really pleased you liked Burning on the Western Front -- that was one of mine. :D I HAVE SUCH GLEE AT YOUR GLEE.

We've got a whole stack of threads lined up to be posted, and a bunch more planned, so you should see some good activity in the coming weeks. LOTS more tasty backstory and regular story.

HELLO HI YES I remember you! You were one of my favorite readers back at Leaves! Welcome to Legacy. We have many irons in the fire, most of which involve ignoring canon because of reasons. Good reasons. Hope you enjoy Legacy, dear, and you're always welcome to comment in the guestbook.

Hi Leia! Echoing my fellow writers, of course I remember you! You were always one of my favorite reviewers, and I couldn't be more pleased you're still with us.

We have so much cool stuff getting off the ground here, and almost none of it depends on being up to date with canon, since a large part of our premise in starting Legacy was "That thing in canon? It's stupid. We could write something so much better and more internally consistent and etc. if we threw out the stupid canon and made our own. Also, Kishimoto can't do math."

So yay! Hope you enjoy the spate of threads we've just posted.

The play I'm currently directing has its world premier in New Orleans next week, so I'm not going to be around much for the next couple weeks, but after that, there should be plenty more coming down the pipes.
